Profile Summary

Born, raised and educated in New England, I spent close to a decade working and adventuring in Texas and Colorado before returning to New England to settle down and raise a family. A published how-to-article in Sunshine Magazine, the completion of a writing course at the Institute of Children's Literature, and a poem published in the National Poetry Anthology remain treasured symbols from the beginning of my writing career. Although this career has been in hibernation through numerous cold Maine winters; with the melting of the snowbanks into a sea of green and flowers blossoming all around, so emerges the face of a dormant writer ready to spring forth once more....

My greatest strength lies in being able to paint an image in the mind of the reader. I am a poet, song lyricist, greeting card verse originator, short story and children's story writer. These are the outlets that best provide me with an opportunity to use my imagination and release the muse inside. I am also a remarkable proof-reader with an excellent command of the English language.

Experience / Education / Qualifications

1988 - How-To-Article published in Sunshine Magazine.

1990 - Poem published in National Poetry Anthology

2006-2007 - Created and transmitted a monthly in-house company newsletter to all employees in the regional branch office of One Beacon Insurance for one year. Informational articles, along with entertaining facts and tidbits, were included.

I have worked in the insurance industry as a claims adjuster, data processor, and an underwriter assistant. Currently, I am an office coordinator for a small accounting firm. Attention to detail and accuracy have always been necessary requirements in any job I have undertaken.

1982 - Southern Connecticut University
Bachelors Degree in Social Work, Minor in Psychology, graduated magna cum laude.

1983 - Completed Institute of Children's Literature Course "Writing for Children and Teenagers."

NOTE: My emphasis is on featuring freelance writers who charge professional rates. I set limits on rates accepted here (no less than $50 per article / per page / per hour), so you don't have to worry about getting lost in a sea of extremely low-priced writers like you do in the all-too-common "race to the bottom" bidding marketplaces.

Information for Clients

Are you tired of being bombarded with pitches from unqualified writers when you advertise on classified or bidding marketplaces? If you're looking to pull your next writer from a more professional pool, look no further.

The All Freelance Writing Freelance Writer Directory features only experienced professionals. You can browse their profiles below by category or search for any keyword related to your project and use the contact information each writer provides to discuss project details with them. (Note: All Freelance Writing allows writers to advertise their services, but is in no way involved with the hiring process or client-freelancer relationship beyond that.)

Not finding the perfect match in the directory? Consider posting an ad on the freelance writing job board instead.

Information for Freelance Writers

Most high paying freelance writing jobs are never publicly advertised. Clients frequently search for qualified writers independently. They find writers through referrals. Or they receive direct queries. Help those clients find you with a listing in our professional freelance writer directory.*

If you're looking for advertised gigs in the meantime, consider browsing my freelance writing job board, where I post ads direct-from-clients as well as curate ads from other sources (the vast majority featuring pay information so there's no guessing before you take the time to apply).
